Australian Beach Weddings

Many couples dream of having a beach wedding, with romantic settings, a beautiful breeze and sand between your toes. Beach weddings tend to be a more relaxed casual event however it pays to plan ahead when planning a beach wedding.

Some tips when planning a beach wedding:

• Provide guests with water bottles.
• Provide parasols or some shade for your guests, you will be on the beach for quite some time and can be particularly hot in the warm summer months.
• Consider the brides and bridesmaid dresses,  considering you will be on a beach, it tends to become quite windy, avoiding dresses that are too short or made from soft materials, you don’t want your bridesmaids to show their underwear when a gust of wind hits.
• Make sure your celebrant has a good PA system, the sound of waves and wind can drown out what is going on in your ceremony, so providing a good PA and microphone will certainly help.
• Make sure you include a map of your beach ceremony location, some beaches are quite large and not all guests may be familiar with the location. You can also provide signage directing guests to your ceremony location.
• Make sure you have alternative location or shelter for your ceremony should the weather turn bad.
• Make sure you have the right permits in order to get married on a public beach, these can be obtained from your local council.
